This St. Louis crawl space once suffered from groundwater seepage and mold, creating musty odors in the home above.  Woods Basement Systems installed the CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system with SmartPipe perimeter drainage and the SmartSump sump pump system to seal moisture out, reduce mold and odors upstairs, and turn the crawl space into a clean, dry space.

Wet, sagging insulation and disconnected ductwork made for one nasty and inefficient crawl space.  The moisture and humidity had caused insulation to sag and fall to the dirt floor.  No one knows why a section of ductwork was just dangling, but the homeowners sure didn't appreciate the energy wasted to heat and cool the crawl space.

Now, the crawl space is sealed and encapsulated with the CleanSpace vapor barrier, and the ductwork is properly connected.  A sump pump system pumps groundwater out from under vapor barrier and away from the home.  The homeowners enjoy warmer floors in the winter, breathe cleaner air upstairs, and benefit from lower utility bills.

Air conditioners tend to get really cold when they are on for long periods of time especially during this time of year. hot warm air moving against your AC pipes in your basements allow for water drops to form and they begin to drip onto your walls and floor allowing water to build up and make new openings for other water to enter.

Bruce and Christa bought the WaterGuard system and the CleanSpace wall coverings to keep water from covering the floor of their basement. The BrightWall covering will keep all the water behind it and move it down to the WaterGuard drainage system connected to their SumpPump. This system and wall coverings will keep their basement dryer and looking clean and bright for weeks to come.

We have a partially finished basement with 2 sumps and a single pump (they are connected) on the unfinished side. We have 3 Problems 1) The Sump gets overrun and overflows into the unfinished side and spills into the finished side. 2) We get water around the edges of the finished side seeping in from the outside of both sides 3) We have a Drain from the county that also backs up and pushes water out. It is in a utility closet on the finished side. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Chad

I have water coming in at a corner where the foundation meets the wall. The spot where the water is coming in at is in a small unfinished part of my basement underneath the stairs. The water has stained the concrete wall coming out from behind the stairs. There is also carpet on the stairs, and into the basement which is wet also. It looks like the water is running a path underneath the carpet to a low spot then pooling and soaking the carpet. So far the damage has been relatively minor.
