The history of basement foundation wall crack repairs goes something like this:
In the past, contractors would chisel out a crack into a larger "V" shape and fill it with hydraulic cement. Injection epoxy used to be the product of choice, but more recently, urethane is a common solution.
For the corner crack in this Wentzville, Missouri basement, we decided to inject urethane into the crack. The first picture shows how messy urethane injection may be. We did two different repairs on this particular wall crack because midway down the wall, there was a larger opening letting a maximum amount of water leak into the basement even during a light rainfall. We customize the right repair for whatever problem we find in a basement to guarantee a dry below-grade space.
The basement was especially drafty and cold in this basement and only got worse in the winter. The only way to combat this problem was to seal it with spray foam in the areas of the ceiling where the insulation was. Now air doesn't escape from the basement leaving it chilly.
Heat can escape from even the smallest cracks. Dr. Energy Saver makes a point to seal up each and every space where air can get out and leave your basement cold.

Steel wall plates are attached to the anchor rods on the inside of the walls and the rods are tightened. The Geo-Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize foundation walls and restore value to the home.
WaterGuard was installed along the perimeter of the basement, under the concrete floors. WaterGuard is a drainage system that sits away from any mud that may clog it and collects water from the walls and floors of the basement to drain away to the sump pump.
The Twin Pack Sump Pump System was installed to replace the old, open faced sump pump and pit. The two powerful pumps of the Twin Pack system sit in a sump liner with a lid so they are still accessible when needed but can be closed so as not to create a hazard like open pits do. The Twin Pack can handle severe weather conditions and even if the primary pump fails, the second pump will continue pumping encroaching out of the basement through the discharge lines.
