Ronald C. of East St. Louis, Illinois noticed that a few of his home's basement walls were cracking and bowing. He did not want the problem to continue to get worse or cause safety hazards, so he called Woods Basement Systems for help.
Design specialist Peter N. assessed the situation and decided the best option was to install some wall anchors in the home's basement. Foreman Jeremy R. then traveled to the home to get the job started. Wall anchors, pictured above, extend from the inside basement walls to the hard packed soil outside. The anchors, made of steel, help stabilize and prevent any further movement of the walls.
Ronald C. no longer has to worry about the walls in his home's basement cracking or bowing. He now has stable and safe basement walls.
Lola K. from East St. Louis, IL had a sump pump system in her basement to deal with any water that might seep inside. But she wasn't covered if the power went out in a storm.
That's why installer Mike B. added a battery-powered UltraSump™ pump to her existing system. Whenever the power goes out or there's just too much water for her normal sump pump to handle, the UltraSump™ will kick in automatically to help expel water from the basement and keep the home protected.
A foundation was settling in East Saint Louis, IL, causing the house to shift and large cracks to form. To solve this issue, the Push Pier System was installed. These will permanently stabilize the foundation, raise it back up to its original position, and keep it in place. The cracks will also be closed, and the functions of the windows and doors will be improved. This foundation will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
Moisture was entering a crawlspace in East Saint Louis, IL, causing several issues. The environment was becoming damp, a musty smell was spreading into the house, and mold was beginning to grow. The support posts were also rotting, causing the beams to shift. To solve these issues, the CleanSpace Encapsulation System was first installed. This will completely isolate the crawlspace from the earth and reduce the humidity level. Any mold growth will also be eliminated, making the whole house healthier. The white color will also brighten the crawlspace and make it easier to see inside it. Next, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. Thanks to these systems, this crawlspace will remain dry, clean, and stable for years to come!

These will permanently stabilize the foundation, and in many cases, lift it back toward its original position. These can also close cracks and improve the operation of windows and doors.
