Fairview Heights, IL homeowner Laura noticed sagging floors rooms above her crawl space. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call. System Design Specialist Luke B. developed a plan to stop the sagging floors and prevent future ones.
Foreman Juan H. and his crew installed 3' SmartJacks throughout her crawl space to replace the brick supports that were there. The SmartJack is made of steel components and comes in a variety of sizes to best fit the area they are needed. SmartJacks can hold up to 60,000 pounds. Once all SmartJacks are in place, they are adjusted to raise the floor back to its original position.
Laura can walk with ease now knowing her floor will support her.
Sherri P. of Fairview Heights, Illinois needed to have some preventative waterproofing work done, so she called Woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, Adam R. recommended installing a TripleSafe sump pump and WaterGuard.
Foreman, Melvin F. installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump uses its three-in-one design to keep your home safe with a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a backup battery-powered pump. WaterGuard is located in the perimeter of the basement floor and it works to collect water that seeps through the basement walls. It then takes that water and guides it to the sump pump to be fully removed from the home.
Now Sherri P. has a dry basement.
This Fairview Heights, Illinois basement was healthy and dry, but only when the weather wasn't rainy. To protect this home from water damaged in the finished space, WaterGuard drains were installed around the perimeter of the basement by Team Woods.
It is not uncommon for concrete foundation walls to begin cracking and slightly bowing with age, but that doesn't mean that it is not a problem. This Fairview Heights, Illinois basement was suffering from a cracked wall that was also begnning to tilt inward, causing the homeowner to worry about collapse. A Woods Basement Systems team installed several PowerBrace beams against the wall to gradually level and support the foundation.
A crawl space in a home shouldn't be avoided if an issue is suspected. This space should be utilized as an asset to a house. This homeowner has debris, insulation falling, and water leaks in his crawl space. Team Woods solved these issues by installing a CleanSpace vapor barrier system onto the floor and walls to completely seal the space from outer, harmful elements.
