Before, this crawl space had no means of protection against water leaks. No tarp. Nothing. Along with a CleanSpace vapor barrier, Team Woods installed an UltraSump sump pump to pump out all water that leaks into the crawl space. This dependable pump will keep the crawl space safe and dry for many years to come.
Thomas, a homeowner from Bowling Green, Missouri, reached out to Woods Basement Systems to finally waterproof and clean out his crawl space. After years of avoiding his crawl space, he knew it was time to fix up the space. Team Woods' head foreman, Jesse C., installed a new CleanSpace encapsulation system onto the walls and floor to completely seal the space from harmful outer elements.
BEFORE: This Bowling Green, Missouri crawl space used to experience high humidity due to the exposed dirt floor. (Moisture in a crawl space leads to mold and woodrot.)
AFTER: Woods Basement Systems installed the CleanSpace vapor barrier and SilverGlo insulation—which now saves this home owner on energy costs and increases the home's comfort.
Water was entering a crawlspace in Bowling Green, MO, causing mold to grow. The insulation was also failing and not staying in place. To solve these issues, Woods first installed SilverGlo Crawlspace Insulation. This features a radiant barrier with graphite infused in it that reflects heat into the crawlspace to save energy. Next, a CleanSpace liner was installed. This will isolate the crawlspace from the dirt, and keep it free of insects, water, and mold. Next, a SmartSump was installed to pump any water that gets in out of the house. This sump system will continue to pump water out even if the power to the house goes out, thanks to the UltraSump, which is an additional pump that runs on a battery. Lastly, a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier was added to filter the crawlspace air and keep it dry. This crawlspace will remain clean and dry for years to come thanks to these systems!
A foundation was settling in Bowling Green, MO, causing it to crack and crumble. To solve this issue, the Push Pier System was installed. These will permanently stabilize the foundation, and in many cases, lift it back toward its original position. These can also close cracks and improve the operation of windows and doors. This is the least risky solution when the soil conditions are unknown. There is minimal disturbance from installation; installing them is a quick process and will solve the problem once and for all!
