A basement in New Berlin, IL, was leaking during heavy rain. This needed to be addressed, so the homeowner decided to give Woods a call. Over the years, this Pleasant Plains, Illinois home's basement walls had become badly cracked and had begun to bow inward slightly. This caused the homeowner to worry about water leaks and a possible total wall collapse. In order to reinforce the damaged walls, a Woods Basement Systems installed several GeoLock wall supports. These work by connecting heavy anchors buried deep in the firm soil away from the foundation to steel plates affixed to the interior surface of the walls. 

Support beams in a crawlspace were failing in Catron, MO, as they were rotting and shifting. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. These steel support systems can permanently stabilize and level the floor joists and girders in the crawlspace. These add strength and stability to the existing columns and piers. They are unaffected by moisture, as they will not rust, weaken, or be affected by mold. These will lift the floors above back toward their original position, reduce floor “bounce” caused by excessive joist spans, and solve the problem once and for all!

A foundation wall was becoming unstable in Girard, IL, as it was bowing inward and cracking horizontally. To solve this issue, the GeoLock Wall Anchor System was installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. These can be installed around obstacles on the wall such as pipes, sinks, or furniture. This is the best solution to straighten the wall over time, as it can fix severe problems and stabilize the foundation for good!
