The foundation walls of Todd G.’s Troy, MO home were cracked. He was worried about the underlying issues that might be causing the damage to his walls so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended a wall support system that include PowerBraces.

Woods custom fit the adjustable steel beams to the height of the basement. The beams were secured firmly against the walls by attaching them to steel brackets to the foundation floor and floor joists above. They permanently stabilize walls in place and prevent future damage. PowerBraces can also improve walls by tightening them during dry months.

Unstable soil conditions on the exterior of the foundation can exert an enormous amount of pressure on the foundation walls and cause damage like bowing and cracking. Todd G. of Troy, MO had long horizontal and stair step cracks spanning across his foundation walls. He was worried that the walls might fail if he left them much longer so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended a wall support system that included Geo-Lock Wall Anchors .

Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked walls to counteract the external soil pressure. To do this, earth anchors were embedded in more stable soil conditions in the yard. They were connected to wall plates on the inside of the foundation walls with galvanized steel anchor rods. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize walls in place and in most cases can straighten walls over time by tightening them during dry conditions.

Kathy H was concerned when she noticed that her basement walls were beginning to bow. She decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Brandon B was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Bradly P installed a PowerBrace, shown above, in Kathy’s basement. The PowerBrace is a system of metal beams that will attach to the wall, and prevent them from bowing any further than they already have. They will also be able to straighten the walls overtime.

Linda and Dan B. own a restaurant in Troy, Missouri that had sinking concrete on their patio section. To prevent customers from tripping, they wanted to fix the problem, so they decided to call Woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, Chris S., recommended PolyLeveling for the job. 

Foreman, William T., installed the PolyLevel. PolyLevel works to permanently lift and stabilize sinking concrete slabs with a high density polyurethane formula. First, a small, dime-sized hole is drilled into the concrete. Then the polymer is injected into the slab and the hole is covered with additional concrete so there's no mismatched colors between slabs. 

Now, Linda and Dan B. can safely run their business. 

Steve of Troy, Missouri wanted to do some preventative waterproofing in his home, so he called Woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, Jake S. recommended installing a WaterGuard system and a Twin Pack sump pump. 

Foreman, Melvin F. installed the products. WaterGuard works to guide collected water that seeps through basement walls to the sump pump in order for it to be removed from the home. The Twin Pack sump pump has two stainless steel pump which are installed at two different levels and kicks in the prevent flooding during storms. 

Now, Steve D. has no worries, knowing his home is safe from wet weather.
