Water was seeping through the foundation cracks in this Carbondale, Illinois home,soaking all of the homeowner's possessions in its path. Woods Basement Systems installed the non-clogging WaterGuard basement waterproofing system to capture the water seeping in and pump it back where it belongs—outside!

This Carbondale, Illinois home used to experience a lot of water in the basement. Woods Basement System cleaned out this clogged sump pit and installed a SuperSump sump pump system with a WaterWatch alarm—an alarm that sounds off like a smoke detector to address a plumbing leak or pump failure before any water damage occurs in the basement.

A trash can liner was used as a sump pump well to collect and pump water out of this Carbondale, Illinois crawl space.  We installed a SmartSump® crawl space sump with plumbing leak alarm, covered lid, and radon control drain in the lid.  The white CleanSpace® liner prevents vapors from leaving the dirt soil and entering the living space of the home!

This block foundation wall in Carbondale, Illinois was bowing inward from hydrostatic pressure and had developed horizontal cracks.  To stabilize the wall and prevent it from bowing further, Woods Basement Systems installed Geo-Lock™ Wall Anchors.  The anchors consist of a galvanized, metal rod that runs from the interior to the exterior, an exterior anchor plate that rests in the virgin soil outside, and an interior anchor plate that is tightened to restore the wall's position.

Hydrostatic pressure, the weight of water filling up the exterior soil, was pushing this Carbondale basement wall in and causing it bow.  Stair-stepping cracks developed in the wall near a corner, and horizontal cracks ran nearly the full length of the wall.  Woods Basement Systems installed Foundation Supportworks Geo-Lock™ Wall Anchors to counteract the hydrostatic pressure and restore the wall.
