Milton M. of Carbondale, Illinois was looking to do some preventative waterproofing work, so he decided to call woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, Luke B. recommended installing a TripleSafe pump and WaterGuard.
Foreman, Melvin F. installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump is guaranteed to keep your home dry in three ways. It includes a primary pump, a secondary pump, and battery-powered backup pump. WaterGuard is installed in the perimeter of the basement floor and it is used to collect water that seeps through the basement walls. It then takes that collected water and guides it to the sump pump in order for it to be removed from the home.
Now Milton M. will have a dry basement for years to come.
This leaky basement was threatening the safety of this Carbondale, Illinois home. Team Woods reacted to the water leaks and designed a plan to waterproof the space. To solve the problem, the team installed WaterGuard drains through the perimeter of the basement. This way the water leaks would be collected before they could enter the basement and create harm.
Many homes, like this one in Carbondale, IL., have dirt crawlspaces. A dirt crawlspace may seem harmless enough, but it can actually damage your home as well as decrease its energy efficiency.
The dirt in a crawlspace can allow animals and bugs to burrow in, as well as water vapor. A dirt crawlspace is also totally uninsulated, allowing conditioned air to escape and allowing humid, hot air in during the summer and frigid, cold air in during the winter. Dirt crawlspaces are full of problems.
But there is a solution to these problems; CleanSpace™. CleanSpace™ is a vapor barrier similar to a pool liner but specifically designed for crawlspaces. This tough, tear-proof liner can block the water vapor rising from the dirt floors or seeping through the walls of the crawlspace as well as block off entries that insects and rodents use to get into the crawlspace. CleanSpace™ is also anti-microbial, meaning mold can't grow on it or get past it. Once a crawlspace is incapsulated with CleanSpace™ it is protected from not only dirt, but insects and rodents as well as water vapor and mold. This opens up an opportunity to insulate the crawlspace as well. Since no animals will be able to rip the insulation, and water vapor and mold spores can't get in to ruin it, the crawlspace is the perfect place to insulate. With insulation below the floor, the entire home will be easier to heat or cool all year round.
A dirt crawlspace is full of problems, but a CleanSpace™ crawlspace can keep your home clean, dry and energy efficient.
Patty of Carbondale, Illinois noticed that her crawl space was experiencing flooding and mold growth. She decided to call Woods Basement Systems to find a solution to this on-going issue. She later spoke with system design specialist, Sam W., to discuss what her best options were. Blake recommended installing a CleanSpace encapsulation system in her crawl space.
A foundation wall was bowing inward in Carbondale, IL, and large cracks were appearing. To solve this issue, the PowerBrace System was installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and eliminate any further inward movement. This will also reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage. This foundation will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
