When Julie and Mike M were concerned when they started smelling mold as they turned on their air-conditioner, they knew they needed to do something about it.  So they called Woods Basement Systems.  System Design Specialist Brenton K was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Joshua B installed CleanSpace in Julie and Mike’s crawlspace.  The CleanSpace system, shown above, is a heavy duty plastic liner that will line the floors and walls of your crawl space, making sure that it stays dry and mold free.  He also installed CleanSpace Drainage Matting, which will allow water to drain out if the crawlspace does flood.  This will make your crawlspace accessible, and keep the air in your home clean.

Debbie R is worried about her foundation in the basement failing. The wall is bowing in, creating a large crack. To stabilize it and make sure no water gets in, Luis R and his crew installed PowerBrace to help support the foundation. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and repair the cracks. This will also bring the foundation back to its original position, and keep it there. 

A CleanSpace Wall was also installed to prevent water vapor from coming in, making the walls clean and bright. It will also drain wall leaks down to the WaterGuard system, which was also installed to drain the water to the sump system. Debbie can now rest assured knowing that her foundation will forever be stabilized!

A foundation was failing in Taylorville, IL, as it was bowing inward, cracking, and leaking water. To solve these issues, the PowerBrace System was first installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and eliminate any further inward movement. This will also reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage. Next, the CleanSpace Basement Wall System was installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls and drain any leaks down to the WaterGuard System. This perimeter drainage system will catch wall seepage and drain it to the sump pump to be pumped out of the house. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain stable, dry, and clean for years to come!

Star-step cracks were appearing in a foundation in Taylorville, IL, so the GeoLock Wall Anchor System was installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. These can be installed around obstacles on the wall such as pipes, sinks, or furniture. This is the best solution to straighten the wall over time, as it can fix severe problems and stabilize the foundation for good!

Jaime E was concerned when she noticed that her basement walls were beginning to bow. So, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Kevin E was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Jeremy R Installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor in Jaime’s basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to stable soil away from the house and the other will attach to the basement wall. The device can be tightened and overtime will straighten the wall.
