Foundation wall issues can devalue a home and scare off potential buyers. Alice C. knew this from her experience as an agent so when she noticed cracks in the walls of a Wentzville, MO property she was selling, she called Woods Basement Systems. Woods determined the best solution would be to install Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
Geo-Lock Wall Anchors counteract the soil pressure that causes cracks in walls by connected steel wall plates on the inside of the foundation walls to earth anchors, which have been embedded in more stable soil in the yard, using galvanized steel anchor rods. The anchor rods are tightened to permanently stabilize the wall and prevent any future damage.
Cracks in foundation walls can be a sign that pressure from unstable soil on the outside of the wall is causing it to fail. Christina and James B. of Wentzville, IL had cracks in their foundation walls that they’d attempted to patch but the cracked had reopened and new ones formed so they called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
The Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed on the cracked walls. They counteract the pressure from the soil by connecting earth anchors embedded in more stable soil in the yard to wall plates on the inside of the foundation walls using galvanized steel anchor rods. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize foundation walls and can straighten the walls in most cases. As shown in the picture, the steel wall plates can also be covered with optional wall anchor covers.
Timothy M. found some long cracks in the foundation walls of his elderly mother’s home in Foristell, MO. He was worried the walls would get worse, even fail, if he didn’t do something so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
Unstable soil conditions can put a tremendous amount of pressure on the exterior of foundation walls and damage them. Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along the cracked foundation walls to counteract the pressure. To do this, wall plates on the inside of the foundation walls were connected to earth anchors that were buried in stable conditions in the yard using galvanized steel anchor rods. They permanently stabilize the walls in place and prevent future damage to the walls.
Jessica P. noticed that water was entering her home's basement after heavy rain storms. She did not want to have to clean up a huge mess after every storm, so she called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Thomas W. assessed the situation and decided that the best option was to install a TripleSafe sump pump and a WaterGuard drainage system. Foreman Bradly P. then traveled to the home to install the waterproofing products.
The TripleSafe sump pump, pictured above, is equipped with a primary, secondary, and battery powered pump. The sump pump collects and removes water from the home through an exterior discharge line. Thanks to the battery powered pump, any basement will stay dry even if the power goes out.
Jessica P. no longer has to worry about a wet and leaking basement. She now has a waterproof and completely dry home.
Jessica P. of Wentzville, Missouri discovered that water was collecting in her home's basement. She did not want to have to clean up a mess after every heavy rain shower, so she called Woods Basement Systems for assistance.
Design specialist Thomas W. assessed the situation and decided that installing a TripleSafe sump pump and a WaterGuard drainage system would fix all of her problems. Foreman Bradly P. then traveled to the home to get the job started.
The WaterGuard drainage system, pictured above, was placed above the footing of the basement. It collects any water that is rising from the ground below before it reaches the surface of the basement floor. It then drains the water to the sump pump. Finally, the WaterGuard is covered with concrete.
Jessica P. no longer has to worry about any water seeping up from the ground. She now has a dry and waterproof basement.
