The homeowner's basement is now protected, but she could have avoided a lot of extra work and expense if she had just waterproofed before finishing.

    As part of that system, Woods installed the WaterGuard drainage system under the cement floors along the perimeter of the basement, as seen in the picture. WaterGuard is installed on top of the concrete footing of the home so it will remain free of clogging mud and debris. It collects water from the foundation walls and floors using its wall flanges and channel holes and directs it to the sump pump for removal

The Twin Pack contains two powerful cast-iron pumps that sit at different levels within the sump liner. System design specialist, Adam R., advised using push piers to lift and restore the home's foundation. 

    Push piers can be used inside or outside of the home and are "pushed" through a bracket system in the footing of the foundation. These piers lock and lift the house up and into its original position. Jose L. was the head foreman of this project who led the team of installers to finish the job quickly and efficiently. With the help of push piers, cracking had stopped developing, and the home was restored.

    Geo-Lock Channel Wall Anchors are used when damage to the walls is very severe and they need to be straightened immediately to return structural integrity to the home. Woods removed soil from the outside of the wall to relieve the pressure as they connected long channel wall plates to earth anchors buried in the yard with steel anchor rods. The anchor rods were tightened to straighten the wall back to a more sound position and permanently stabilize the foundation walls. Geo-Lock Channel Anchors also prevent any future damage, like bowing and cracking, to the walls.
