Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Unstable and Leaking Basement Repaired in Troy, MO
A basement wall was shifting in Troy, MO, causing several issues. It was bowing out, causing large cracks to form. These cracks were also leaking water, causing damage. To solve these issues, GeoLock Wall Anchors were first installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time.
Next, the CleanSpace Basement Wall System was installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls and drain any leaks to the WaterGuard System. This perimeter drainage system will catch wall seepage and drain it toward the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, draining water from WaterGuard and below the basement and discharging it from the house. Next, the IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge System was installed. The patented design of this system automatically allows water to escape through its perforations when pipe terminations are blocked, usually by ice or snow. Lastly, a LawnScape Outlet was installed. This connects the discharge lines to a special extension sending water away from the foundation while camouflaging the end of the pipe. Thanks to these systems, this basement will now remain stable and dry for years to come!
Foundation Issues
This foundation is unstable, cracking, and leaking water.
Foundation Repaired
GeoLock anchors will stabilize the foundation, while CleanSpace drains wall seepage down to WaterGuard to be taken to the sump pump.
Sump Pump
The TripleSafe can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a secondary pump included inside that will help eliminate the water if the first pump is unable to keep up with the amount of water that is entering it.
Discharge Lines
IceGuard adds a drain at the base of the house to protect the system from backing up in the case of a sump pump discharge point that is clogged by snow or ice.
Discharge Outlet
LawnScape will extend the downspout with a system that lies even with or below the ground to add a subtle, noninvasive drainage system to the yard that will not clog up and cease to do its job.
