Drainage System
Water is collected from the perimeter drains, and they direct water towards the sump pump system.
Sump Pump System
The sump pump is what collects all the water from the sub-floor drains and pumps it up and out of the basement through the white discharge lines.
Window Water Drainage
Basement windows sometimes cause a huge problem for water entry. If after inspection a window is seen as an issue, Woods will propose installed this blue system which helps to send water seeping in from the window, straight to the sub-floor drain.
Sump Pump Battery Back Up
In the bottom right, next to the sump pump system is a battery back up system. Of course, in many cases water issues in the basement are caused by severe weather that can knock out power. With that in mind, we created the UltraSump® Battery Backup System to ensure continued protection no matter what happens. In the event of loss of power the battery backup will automatically kick in and begin removing water from your basement, preventing a flood.
Discharge Lines
Once water is collected into the sump pump, it is then sent up and away from the home through the white discharge lines. Then the water is let out through a lawn drain.
Sub-Floor Drainage
The dark area on the perimeter of the basement is where the sub-floor drainage system is installed. This is what collects water from the basement and sends it to the sump pump system.
How the Window Well System Works
First, the window well is cleaned on the outside and filled with clean stone and a grate. Then a small hole is drilled through the wall to the inside just below the window sill. This allows the water to drain out of the wall and through the small hole. If the basement has a block foundation, the drain hole is sleeved with a pipe to prevent the water from going down into the wall. The water runs down inside the WellDuct track to the waterproofing system, where it is carried to the sump pump and out and away from the home.
Designed for Clog Free Functioning
This French drain is designed to be installed below the floor slab, resting on top of the foundation footing. This keeps the drainage system out of the "mud zone", where drains can clog.
Minimal Invasion
WaterGuard® is installed with minimal invasion of the slab, and all concrete is restored after installation.
Collected Water
The WaterGuard® system collects water that seeps through basement walls and drains it to your sump pump. The system installs quickly and has a clean finished appearance, meaning you don't have to worry about having an unsightly drain around the basement.
