Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Additional Waterproofing and Foundation Support Installed in Granite City, Illinois
When David, a homeowner in Granite City, Illinois, decided to expand the protection already installed in his home, he turned to Woods Basement Systems for additional basement waterproofing and foundation support. Woods had previously waterproofed one area of the basement, but David wanted to address other areas of concern and take further steps to protect his home.
Our crew installed a water barrier liner and sub-floor drainage system, connecting the new waterproofing components to the home's existing sump pump. This allowed us to expand the home's existing waterproofing system without needing to replace what was already working. We also installed a foundation support brace system to address a bowing basement wall. These braces are designed to help straighten the wall over time and can be adjusted during annual maintenance visits to provide continued support.
This project highlights the flexibility of Woods Basement Systems' solutions. Whether adding to an existing waterproofing system, addressing foundation movement, or combining multiple services, Woods can create customized solutions that tackle several areas of concern and provide homeowners with more complete protection.

Additional Waterproofing
While our crew had already made one visit to this home, the homeowner decided they wanted additional protection for their home. We provided that through the additions of our water barrier liner and sub-floor drainage system along a new wall in the basement.
Sub-Floor Drainage System
The sub-floor drainage system collects leaks from behind the water barrier liner and the joint of the wall and floor. These leaks are then sent directly to the sump pump and out of the basement.
Water Barrer Liner
Our liner system is design to redirect leaks coming from small cracks in the basement wall. The leaks are blocked from reaching the open air of the basement and instead sent downward to the drainage system.
Support Brace
The support brace system was installed along this wall to help with the bowing wall. This new system will help to straighten the wall over time closer to it's original position.
Sump Pump System
Our sump pump system was installed for a previous job, however, this homeowner wanted to make additions to their waterproofing. A need our crew was happy to satisfy.
