Location of Water Leaks
Most of the water that would leak into this home came from this space. Water was able to leak in during heavy rains due to the unsealed bottom of the walls. The gap was created by excess water breaking down the wall's seal.
Broken Down Wall
Water had broken down the wall which created a gap from the cement to the wall.
Water Stains Inside
The evidence of water leaks was found primarily on the shared, unsealed basement wall.
Opposing Wall Damaged
The water that would leak inside would also create damage to several other areas of the basement. It was essential to install WaterGuard drains to protect the entire basement from further water damage.
Before Installation
The installation of WaterGuard drains would soon protect all basement walls from the weakening by water damage. The drains will be installed around the footing and perimeter of the room to stop water and send it to the sump pump before it can generate damage.
After Installation
The freshly installed WaterGuard drains are installed with cement over the top to seal the drains and mask the evidence that installation occurred.
