Musty Basement
After years of noticing water leaks accumulating into the basement, this homeowner wanted to work with Team Woods to find a solution that would keep his home dry and safe.
Problematic Corner
As Team Woods investigated the space, they had found several areas of the basement that water had leaked inside. This area by the furnace was one of the primary entrances. A discharge pipe is on the other side of the wall which the team later discovered was the issue.
What can be done?
To prevent water from entering into the space and causing harm, Team Woods decided to utilize a TwinPack sump pump and WaterGuard drains. The TwinPack would be installed into this corner and would connect to the discharge lines. The WaterGuard drains would be installed into the perimeter of the basement to collect the water and sent it to the TwinPack pump.
Discharge Lines
Outside of the home, the reason for the continuous water leaks made sense. The current discharge line would allow water back into the basement because the line wasn't draining the water away from the house.
What can be done outside?
New discharge lines were installed around the house to drain the water leaks away from the home. The new lines would prevent water from seeping back into the basement and stop the vicious cycle.
