Stains on Exterior
The outside of this basement revealed water-stained walls. Water stains are usually the first visual red flag that water has leaked inside.
Inside Damage
Inside the basement, the damage didn't stop. The finished basement was experiencing water damage that caused the paint to chip and the wood to rot.
Serious Damage
The structure of the finished basement was falling apart. Changes needed to be made to prevent water from damaging this basement any further.
WaterGuard French Drains
Team Woods first installed WaterGuard drains into the footing of the basement walls. WaterGuard drains are installed in the perimeter of the room to collect the pesky water leaks at the source. Instead of letting water leak in, these drains collect the leaks as they leak in and send them to the basement sump pump.
Throw out carpet
To install these drains, the installers had to remove the wet carpet and take out the lower part of the wall. After the cement sealing dries, the wall will be restored, and the floors will be replaced to the homeowner's desire.
New Sump Pump
This basement didn't have a sump pump, so a TripleSafe sump pump was installed to pump water leaks out of the home. This system will work with the WaterGuard drains to ensure if any water leaks seep inside, they will be pumped back outside.
