Water Leaking In
Water leaks had threatened the safety of this basement for years. As this homeowner invested in finishing her basement, she knew it was crucial to waterproof her basement first.
Pooling Inside
Water would remain inside this home after heavy rains because this basement had no means of protection against water leaks.
Beginning
To begin this waterproofing installation, Team Woods' head foreman, John C., instructed his team to dig trenches around the perimeter of the room to make room for the drainage system.
WaterGuards Installed
The home's new drainage system is called WaterGuard. WaterGuard drains are installed in the footing of the basement walls to collect water leaks, stopping them right in there tracks.
Complete Protection
Here is another look at the drainage system installed around the perimeter of the basement. These walls had experienced water damage, but with the help of the WaterGuard drains, they are now protected.
Cracked Walls
One of the primary ways water was able to leak inside was due to the cracks that had developed in the walls. These cracks had been patched, but due to the amount of water that would leak in, more cracks had developed.
Sealed
Now that the top layer of cement had dried, these WaterGuard drains are sealed and protected from backing up or clogging.
New Sump
Along with the WaterGuard drainage system, a TripleSafe sump pump was installed into the floor to pump out the water leaks that the drains had collected.
