Outside Signs
This basement was showing signs of water damage outside, which forced the homeowner to reach out to Woods Basement Systems. Team Woods investigated the outside and concluded that the external damage was the result of continuous exposure to water.
Water Damage Inside
Once inside the water damage issue wasn't over. Team Woods noticed water pooling in the basement after heavy rainstorms.
Solution?
What products could help in this basement? System design specialist, Jeremy R., suggested utilizing WaterGuard drains to catch water leaks before they enter the house. In this image, you can see the process of the WaterGuard drains being installed.
WaterGuard Drainage System
Here is the freshly installed WaterGuard drainage system! These drainages are a French designed system that is installed in the footing of the basement to collect and direct water leaks towards the home's sump pump system.
Sealed
The WaterGuard drains are sealed with a cement layer to prevent the drains from clogging or backing up. Sealing the system ensures that the system will function properly at all times.
TwinPack Sump
Two TwinPack sump pump system was installed into this basement to pump out all pesky water leaks that seep inside.
Why TwinPack?
A TwinPack sump pump is a dual pump system that will ensure efficiency in the system. If one of the pumps fails, the backup pump will switch on.
IceGuards Installed Outside
Attached to the home's discharge lines are IceGuard extensions. IceGuards are used to prevent the discharge lines from freezing during the winter or clogging year-round!
