This home in Ballwin, MO. had finished walls in front of the foundation walls that needed to be protected against water damage. Water often leaks into the basement through the small gap between the walls and the floor. If water were to leak in there in this home it would damage the wooden studs as well as the insulation and drywall in the area.
To protect the walls from water damage, WaterGuard™ was installed behind them. WaterGuard™ is installed on top of the footing, just beneath the floor. From there, WaterGuard™ can collect the water below the home before it rises above the floor and causes damage. This water is drained into the TripleSafe™ sump pump system, which removes the water from the home with the help of its two powerful main pumps and third, battery-powered backup pump. After it is installed, the floor above WaterGuard™ is repaired with fresh concrete and the walls can be replaced. The end result is a permanent waterproofing solution that will protect the finished walls all while being totally unseen.
With WaterGuard™ protecting this basement, the homeowners won't have to worry about repairing water damaged or rotting finished walls.
WaterGuard™ Behind the Wall
The bottom of this wall is temporarily removed to allow WaterGuard™ to be installed beneath it.
End of WaterGuard™
WaterGuard™ is generally only needed against exterior walls and usually won't be needed along interior walls as leaks do not occur there.
Removed Finished Wall
The wooden studs and drywall are temporarily removed to install WaterGuard™. Once it is installed, the wall can be repaired and made whole again.
Corner Coverage
WaterGuard™ can be adapted to go around objects or to tie into other waterproofing systems. Here, WaterGuard™ is adjusted to provide waterproofing protection in the corner and along a second wall. The result is an uninterrupted perimeter drainage system that reaches the sump pump from around the corner.
TripleSafe™ Attached to WaterGuard™
This TripleSafe™ sump pump system will collect water from WaterGuard™ and pump it safely out of the home.
