Trying to keep things dry!
This homeowner tried everything to keep the basement dry, from using a shop vac to the dehumidifier you see in the top right-hand corner. None of which is a permanent solution to keep this basement dry.
Window Wells That Leak
Without proper drainage and cover around your basement windows, they will soon look like this. Plant debris like weeds, leaves, and dirt clog window wells, causing them to fill with water. The water then seeps into the basement through the window.
Trying to Keep The Window Dry
They tried a temporary solution to keep the window well dry by covering it with a plastic window well cover that can be purchased from any big box store. Looking to the right of the white downspout, you can see a very large hole where the plastic is deteriorating due to the elements. Is that pile of material keeping it in place too?
Basement Windows Done Right
Our basement window well enclosures are made with reinforced plastic that won't rust, rot, or need to be painted.

We have waterproofing basement wall products that are inexpensive and stain-resistant. Our wall systems are effective in keeping moisture out resulting in a dry basement all the time. The white poly sheet material covers the basement foundation walls as you can see here.
The Cadillac of Sump Pumps
To keep this basement dry we installed our three sump pump system with a backup battery and alarm to alert you if the system is not functioning due to a power outage.
