After purchasing this property, Chris U. of University City, Missouri was eager to use the basement space, but couldn't due to the lack of waterproofing. Mark C., one of our System Design Specialists met with Chris to give him a free estimate and go over his waterproofing options. Chris was looking for a reputable and trustworthy company and after speaking with Mark, hired us to do the work. In this basement, our lead Foreman Caleb and his crew waterproofed it, keeping it dry all the time.

WaterGuard® Waterproofing Perimeter System

Once we install our perimeter WaterGuard® System we pour concrete because this system is installed along the footing and needs to be covered.

The perimeter system from another angle. In this photo, the concrete appears wet since it's drying. Do you see the gap between the wall and the footing? Using this method, moisture will be able to seep into the perimeter drainage system and then be carried away from the house by the discharge line.

How To Maintain the System

WaterGuard® Ports are the grey, oval-shaped items in the concrete. It is used to flush out sand, sediment, or whatever else gets in the system. In order for water to drain properly to the sump pump, we use this port to make our system flushable and easy to maintain.
