Waterproofing Water Heater
Another view of the trench drains around the water heater.
Keeping Appliances Protected
If the water heater floods, the grate around the water heater serves as a drain, helping keep the basement dry. Through the grate, water seeps in and flows to the perimeter waterproofing system via a drainage line, which drains to the exterior drainage system and away from the house.
Perimeter Waterproofing System
A view of our perimeter waterproofing system. You can also see a trench drain near the door. This is very common in basements that have doors that lead to the outside. If water was to ever come under the door, the trench drain will catch it and lead it to the perimeter system. The concrete is still drying in this photo but you can see where the perimeter system is.
Sump Pump Installed
We installed a TripleSafeâ„¢ Sump Pump in this basement. These systems have a primary and secondary pump and a battery powered backup pump.
