Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing a Basement in Champaign, IL
Water was leaking down the walls in a basement in Champaign, IL, and the sump system was not pumping the water out as it should. To solve these issues, Woods first installed a CleanSpace Basement Wall System. This is an economical way to cover ugly walls, stop water vapor from permeating them, and drain wall leaks. The white color will also brighten the basement, reflecting the light. Next, the WaterGuard System was installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which will drain water from WaterGuard and below the basement and discharge it out of the house. This system also includes an UltraSump battery backup system, which turns on if the power goes out and effectively pumps out the water. A SaniDry Sedona was also installed. This high-capacity, high-efficiency dehumidification system also includes an air filtration system, all in a single unit. This system wrings the air dry, and its powerful blower moves the dry air in and around the basement. It also automatically drains the water it catches into the sump system, so there is no need to empty any bucket with this system. Next, the IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge System was installed. These discharge lines will allow water to escape if the pipes freeze over or become blocked for any reason. Lastly, a LawnScape Outlet was installed. This connects the downspout to a special extension sending water away from the foundation while camouflaging the end of the pipe. This basement will remain dry and clean for years to come thanks to these systems!
