Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing and Refinishing a Basement in Des Peres, MO
Water was entering a basement in Des Peres, MO, damaging the lower half of the basement wall. To solve these issues, the WaterGuard System was first installed. This perimeter drainage system is installed adjacent to the home and provides a channel that connects to the sump pump.  Its design will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. To finish the wall, the EverLast Restoration System was installed. The trim of this system is all plastic and installed over metal studs, so no paint is ever needed. It also can’t be ruined by a plumbing leak or high humidity. It will also prevent mold from growing.
The sump pump was also failing to remove the amount of water entering it, so it was replaced with the TripleSafe Sump Pump System. This will drain water from WaterGuard and below the basement and discharge it from the house. This system also includes an UltraSump battery backup system, which turns on if the power goes out, and effectively pumps out the water. Lastly, the IceGuard Sump Pump Discharge System was installed. The patented design of this system automatically allows water to escape through its perforations when pipe terminations are blocked, usually by ice or snow. Thanks to these systems, this basement will stay dry and can be enjoyed for years to come!
