Next, a sump pump was used to discharge the water out of the basement. This sump has a battery back-up generator to ensure it keeps working, even during a power outage. Then, IceGuard™ was installed to ensure the pipes do not freeze or get blocked by snow during the colder winter months. Finally, a drainage line was used to help carry the water away from the home. With these systems in place, the homeowner can have peace of mind knowing their basement will remain dry during heavy rain.
