Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Stabilizing and Waterproofing Basement in Lake Saint Louis, MO
A basement wall in Lake Saint Louis, MO, was bowing and humid. This needed to be addressed before the problem gets worse, so the homeowner decided to give Woods a call. To solve the issue of humidity, CleanSpace™ was used to encapsulate the basement walls. This highly durable liner will keep the humidity, and other outside elements, out of the basement. Next, GeoLock™ wall anchors were used to stabilize the bowing walls. This system works with heavy duty steel anchors that are buried some ways away from the home and connected to the home using steel rods. These rods are then attached to steel wall plates that are placed directly on the wall. As the rods are tightened, they pull the wall back into place. Then, IceGuard™ was used to ensure the pipes do not freeze or get blocked by snow during the colder winter months. Finally, a drainage line was used to carry the water away from the home. With these systems in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their basement wall is dry and stable.
