The major flaw of concrete is that the ground that it was poured on top of will inevitably shift and sink over time. In the states of Illinois and Missouri sinking concrete is all too common which is why our company has gone to great lengths to develop fast and effective concrete lifting and leveling solutions. PolyLevel is a revolutionary product that is minimally invasive and not only lifts and levels concrete but also stabilizes it. The concrete lifting and leveling process begins with a few small holes drilled in the slab, then the PolyLevel polymer is poured into the holes. After only about 15 minutes the polymer is dry and the concrete is ready to be walked and even driven on. This concrete lifting and leveling technique is faster, less disruptive and arguably more effective than mud jacking which is the procedure PolyLevel replaces. To removed tripping hazards, stabilize concrete, and lift it back to a level height nothing is faster or more effective than PolyLevel. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed. Steel rods were driven through the walls into the surrounding soil and tightened to keep the walls stable and straighten them over time.
Waterguard was installed in the cement next to the walls to guide the encroaching water into the TripleSafe sump system. The Triplesafe sump system pumps unwanted water through the discharge line and out of the basement and has battery back up so even if the power goes out, the pumps will continue to keep the basement dry. An Iceguard was installed so that if the discharge line becomes clogged or freezes, the water won't drain back into the basement.
A Sanidry system was also installed. The Sanidry keeps the relative humidity low to prevent mold from forming and get rid of any musty smell.
Jamie and Trevor W. are thrilled that their basement is finally livable and safe.
Pierron, Illinois homeowner Andrea C. had both a crawlspace and basement beneath her home. She was distraught by the water leaking into her crawlspace and basement. The water seepage caused mold, an allergen to her and her family. Foreman Jose L. installed a solution.

A SaniDry was also installed to filter moisture out of the air in the basement. A SaniDry is a dehumidifier for the space and will help control the humidity. Controlling the humidity of the basement will reduce energy bills and make the home more comfortable because the air that is moving through the basement is more controlled.

The finished basement of Kurt B.’s Greenville, IL home was being ruined by unwanted water coming in each time it rained. His carpet had been stained and water damaged and he was worried that he might have even bigger problems on his hands if he didn’t get the water problem taken care of so he called Woods Basement Systems for a free, no obligation estimate. Design Specialist Dave P. inspected the basement and found the perfect solution would be to install a waterproofing system.
Woods installed WaterGuard under the concrete floors along the perimeter of the basement. WaterGuard is a drainage system that sits on top of the concrete footing of the basement so it will remain free of mud while it drains away any water from the foundation walls and floors to the sump pump.
The TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed to collect the water from the WaterGuard. The TripleSafe contains two powerful, cast-iron pumps and a battery back up pump to keep pumping water out of the basement through its discharge lines, even if weather is severe or there’s a power outage. On the exterior of the home, IceGuards were installed on the discharge lines. They have slotted openings that allow water to escape and not come back into the basement if the discharge lines have become frozen during winter months.
Kurt B. has peace of mind that his finished basement won’t get damaged by water again and he can safely store his belongings.
Lori H.’s Collinsville, IL home was uncomfortable. During hot summer months, it was difficult to keep her home cool. She had the same issue in the cold winter months and drafts made the situation even worse. She was paying higher energy bills due to the extra heating and cooling so she called Woods Basement Systems for a free energy audit. Design Specialist Peter N. inspected the home and recommended air sealing and insulating the attic.
Woods sealed areas of the attic where air typically escapes such as the rim joists, wiring penetrations, gaps in windows and doors and other holes or cracks. They use a two part spray foam that expands and hardens to prevent air from escaping and make the home more energy efficient.
Wood blew in cellulose insulation throughout the attic to blanket it in a thick insulating layer. Cellulose insulation is made of recycled newspaper that would have gone to a landfill. It’s treated with a natural boric acid solution that makes it resistant to fire and mold and deters insects. It has a high R-value which is the measure of a material’s resistance to the passage of heat. When blown cellulose insulation is installed in combination with air sealing, it can cut energy bills up to 40%.
Lori H.’s home is now much more comfortable and she’s thrilled that upgrading her attic’s insulation will end up paying for itself in the money she saves on her energy bills.
Leslie M. of Greenville, IL had a radon problem in her home. She knew something was wrong when her husband was having breathing trouble in the basement so she did two radon tests. The first found levels were 7.6 pCi/l and the second found levels were 12.3 pCi/l. Both readings were much higher than the 4.0 pCi/l that the Environmental Protection Agency established as the standard for indoor air so she called Woods Basement Systems. Design Specialist Jeremy R. inspected the home and found that a sub-slab active radon mitigation system would be the best solution.
Radon is a radioactive carcinogenic gas that can accumulate in homes. The main source of radon is the soil surrounding the foundation. Woods drilled a hole through the slab floor of the foundation. This hole becomes the path of least resistance for radon and draws it upward. A PVC pipe is installed in the hole to direct it upward. The pipe in this instance was run on the outside of the home but the system can also run through the inside. It is connected to a fan that vents the radon up above the attic and safely away from the home. Passive systems don’t always succeed at keeping radon levels below 4 pCi/l. Fans make the system actively draw and vent the radon upward and do so without making much noise or using much power.
Leslie has peace of mind now that radon levels are safe in her home and she and her family can breathe easily again.
Sarah of Greenville, Illinois had to deal with her basement flooding every time it rained more than a couple inches. The water was coming up from a seam in the floor and the bottom of the walls. She was tired of dealing with this problem, so she called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Thomas W. assured the homeowner that her problems would be solved. Foreman Melvin F. traveled to the home to install a Waterguard system and a TripleSafe sump pump, and to fix the seam in the floor. The TripleSafe sump pump has a primary, secondary, and battery-powered pump that ensures a dry basement even when the power goes out. The sump pump collects water and pushes it out of the home through an exterior discharge line. The Waterguard system is installed above the footing and collects any water coming up from the ground before it reaches the basement surface. Finally, the seam in the flooring was covered by concrete to prevent future leaks.
Sarah B. no longer has to worry about her home's basement flooding when it rains. She now has a dry and waterproof basement.
Lester H. of Greenville, Illinois noticed that a couple walls in his home's basement were bowing and cracking. He did not want to ignore the problem and allow it to get worse, so he called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Joshua L. assessed the situation and decided that the best option was to install a few wall anchors. Foreman Jeremy R. then headed to the home to get the job started. Wall anchors are made of steel and extend from the inside walls of the home to the hard packed soil outside. They stabilize and prevent further movement of the wall.
Lester H. no longer has to worry about his wall cracking and bowing. He now has stable and safe basement walls.
After homeowner, Kathy M. did a radon test on her home she realized it was above a dangerous level of 4.0 picocuries per liter (pCi/L) and immediately gave Woods Basement System a call.
Our system design specialist headed over to Greenville to further explain the issue and the solution with the homeowner. Foreman, Brett J. did a radon mitigation system installation to reduce the radon level in the home. Radon cannot be tasted, seen, or smelled so many homeowners do not recognize the danger it is causing in their home. Radon is a toxic gas that if at a high level, can put people at risk for lung cancer. It is the top leading cause of lung cancer in the United States.
The radon mitigation system contains PVC pipes that run around and under the home. The PVC pipes collects the toxic gas and releases it away from the home. Kathy M. is at peace knowing the radon level has reduced tremendously thanks to the radon mitigation system.
Mary H. from Greenville, IL noticed that her basement was wet after a heavy rainfall. Realizing the issues this was causing for her home, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate about fixing the issue.
Systems Design Specialist Paul W. evaluated the situation and determined that appropriate solution would be to have foreman Mason S. waterproof the basement. He started by installing WaterGuard, IceGuard and Triple Safe sump pump. All three of these products work with one another to stop the water from entering the basement. WaterGuard works to collect the water and stop it from reaching the surface, and pushes it through Triple Safe sump pump, while IceGuard stops water from backing up in the winter months when freezing is a concern.
Since the waterproofing of her basement, Mary no longer has to fear rain in the forecast.
John A was concerned when he noticed that his floors were beginning to sink. So, he decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist John S was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

In order to successfully do so, he installed WaterGuard, IceGuard and Triple Safe sump pump. All of these products work together in order to keep the basement dry. WaterGuard pushes water towards the top of the surface to keep it from reaching the ground and through the Triple Safe sump pump, while IceGuard works to keep water flowing during winter months when freezing is a concern.
Brenda and Timothy are very happy that since the waterproofing of their basement, they are no longer concerned when they predict rain in the forecast.
John A. of Sorento, IL noticed a crack in his basement, which was a result of foundation problem. There are typically the four types of cracks that are a sign foundation, which are: hairline cracks, stair step cracks, vertical cracks and horizontal cracks. He decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate to fix the problem, realizing the dangers this could cause.
Systems Design Specialist John S. evaluated the situation and determined that having foreman Jose L. install push piers would be the proper solution. Push piers help lift the load and the weight of the structure, and the weight is then relieved from the unstable soil and to stable ground.
Since the installation of the push piers, John can rest assured that the safety of his home has been restored.
Stacie and Richard A. of Sorento, IL realized that their CrawlSpace needed work, so they contacted Woods Basement Systems for a free estimate about the repairs.
Systems Design Specialist John S. evaluated the situation and determined that foreman Joshua B. should install drainage matting, CleanSpace, SmartSump and SmartPipe as a solution. CleanSpace is a heavy-duty product that is installed across the floor and walls and seals the crawl space. In addition, it blocks water vapor from the walls or soil from entering the crawl space.
Thanks to the installation, Stacie and Richard have an ease of mind knowing that their crawl space is clean, dry and healthy.
Homeowner, Tina M. gave Woods Basement System a call when she discovered the floors of her basement were unleveled and sagging. The cause of the basement floors sagging is likely due to the brick columns in crawlspace being too spaced apart or the weakened floor joists and girders.
System design specialist, Brenton K. did an inspection on the home and was able to create a design that would completely fix the problem. Foreman, Joshua B. did a SmartJack Crawlspace Stabilzer installment. A steel support system is used with the SmartJack to help stabilize and level both the girders and floor joists. Once the job is done, the SmartJack Crawlspace Stabilizer can hold up to 60,000 pounds.
Tina M. now has a safe and secure home.
Joyce S. of House Springs, Missouri discovered that her home's basement was flooding after big rain storms. She did not want to have to keep cleaning up a mess, so she called Woods Basement Systems for help.
Design specialist Brandon B. assessed the situation and decided the best solution was to install a CleanSpace wall system, a Waterguard drainage system, and a TripleSafe sump pump. Foreman Ryan L. then headed to the home to start the job.
The CleanSpace wall system is plastic liner that was attached to the walls of the basement. It acts as a vapor barrier and drains any leaks that occur behind it. The Waterguard drainage system was installed above the footing of the basement. It collects and drains water coming up from the ground before it reaches the basement surface. Finally, the TripleSafe sump pump removes water from the home through a discharge line. It is equipped with a primary, secondary, and battery powered pump.

The BrightWall paneling system was attached to the walls of the basement. It drains any leaks behind it and acts as a vapor barrier, all while making the basement look brighter. The Waterguard drainage system was installed above the footing of the basement. It drains any water rising from the ground to the sump pump. The Twin Pack sump pump then removes the water from the home through a discharge line. The Twin Pack is equipped with both a primary and secondary pump.
Bill A. no longer has to worry about his home's basement holding water. He now has a waterproof and dry basement.

Jan G. or Sorento, Illinois had a leak in her basement, so she decided to call Woods Basement Systems for a solution. Systems design specialist, Nolan M. suggested installing a Twin Pack sump pump, WaterGuard, and IceGuard.
Foreman, Mason S. installed the products. The Twin Pack pump includes two stainless steel pumps that work to protect your home against floods and leaks. WaterGuard is a perimeter drainage system used to collect water that has seeped through the basement walls. It then guides that water to the sump pump to fully remove it from the home. IceGuard is installed on the outside of a home and it allows for water to expel from the guards in the event that the pipes clog or freeze. This prevents water from backing up into the basement again.
Now Jan G. has a dry basement.
Beverly S. of Greenville, Illinois needed some preventative waterproofing done, so she called Woods Basement Systems. Systems design specialist, Luke B. recommended installing a TripleSafe sump pump, WaterGuard, and IceGuard.
Foreman, Joshua B. installed the products. The TripleSafe sump pump is guaranteed to keep your home protected with its primary pump, secondary pump, and battery-powered backup pump. WaterGuard is installed in the perimeter of the basement floor and it works to collect water that seeps through basement walls and guides it to the sump pump to be removed from the home. IceGuard is put on the outside of the home and it allows water to expel from the guards in the event that pipes clog or leak.

It then takes that collected water and guides it to the sump pump in order for it to be removed from the home. Sanidry Sedona is a dehumidifier that works to keep all moisture out of the air to prevent water damage from vapor that may come through the walls.
Now Curtis P. has a dry basement.
Diane of Smithboro, Illinois wanted to protect her crawl space and turn this space into an extra storage space. Diane worked with system design specialist, Luke K., who designed a customized plan that would protect her crawl space from outer elements. Luke gave the recommendation of installing a CleanSpace vapor barrier that would completely seal the area from harm.
Team Woods' head foreman, Jeremy G., worked with his team to install the new encapsulation system quickly and efficiently. A CleanSpace vapor barrier system is installed on the floor and walls to seal the crawl space from harm. This system is made out of inorganic materials to prevent the system from developing mold while giving the room a fresh, new look! With the help of a CleanSpace encapsulation system, this crawl space will now be an asset to Diane's home.
Joseph H. of Greenville, Illinois began to notice cracks on the interior flooring and in the exterior brickwork of his home. He suspected that this was a result of foundation settlement, but he wasn't sure. Needing an expert opinion, Joseph called Woods Basement Systems.
Design speciliast Mike visited Joseph's home and determined that the foundation was, in fact, settling. In order to stop the damage and support the foundation for the life of the structure, a Woods team installed several Low-Profile Push Piers. These incredibly strong galvanized-steel supports are inserted through small holes underneath the foundation before being adjusted to lift it back to level. Joseph's house is now totally level!

We sent our foreman Jeremy Raby out to the home to install our WaterGuard system. WaterGuard is our premiere waterproofing system that is installed around the perimeter of the basement, on-top of the footing. Instead of patching up cracks that will still leak, our team installed our CleanSpace Liner on the foundation walls. CleanSpace is used in wet basements and crawlspaces, the liner is thick, allowing the water to flow behind the liner and down into the WaterGuard system. Now, Randy is happy knowing their basement is dry.
