Crawl Space Insulated with SilverGlo in Rochester, IL

Don M. was having trouble keeping his Rochester, IL home comfortable. He had drafts coming into his home from the crawlspace. His energy bills were high from needing to run his air conditioning and heating much longer to get less change in the temperature of his home so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended insulating and encapsulating his crawl space.

Woods installed SilverGlo over the foundation walls and rim joists in the crawl space. SilverGlo is a graphite-infused rigid foam insulation that has a reflective surface to create a radiant barrier that reflects heat back into the crawl space. SilverGlo is waterproof and mold-resistant so it also prevents moisture from entering into the crawl space through the foundation walls. It seals drafts out and heated and cooled air in the crawl space.
