A foundation was settling in Pontoon Beach, IL, causing cracks to form by the back doors and causing them to not close properly. To solve this issue, the Push Pier System was installed. These will permanently stabilize the foundation, and in many cases, lift it back toward its original position. These can also close cracks and improve the operation of windows and doors. This is the least risky solution when the soil conditions are unknown. There is minimal disturbance from installation; installing them is a quick process and will solve the problem once and for all!
Mark and Mitchell E. of Granite City, IL noticed stair-step cracks in the brick on the outside of their home. They became concerned, so they contacted Woods Basement Systems for an evaluation.
Design specialist Mike T. determined that foundation problems were the culprit of the cracks and proposed foundation piers as the best solution.
Foreman Jose L. and his crew installed the piers under the footing of the home as shown here, which stabilized the home. Mark and Mitchell now have a safe, secure home.
A foundation was becoming unstable in abasement in Granite City, IL, causing concern to the homeowners. To solve this issue, the PowerBrace System was installed. This system is designed to stabilize a home’s foundation permanently. It will support the basement walls and straighten them over time. It will distribute the load evenly and eliminate the worry of damage caused by commonly seen wood floor joists. This system can be tightened over time and doesn't require any invasive drilling or digging. PowerBrace’s brackets are engineered to provide strong support to the joints and protect the floor system's durability. This foundation will now remain stable for years to come!
This Granite City, Illinois home suffered major damage after its foundation wall bowed inward leaving nothing to support this external brick wall. As the foundation moved further away from the brick wall the brick wall began to sink which resulted in the damage shown in the before picture. Woods Basement Systems installed several foundation repair systems such as piers and anchors. After the foundation was repaired Woods Basement Systems installed basement waterproofing products such as WaterGuard and an UltraSump. WaterGuard is unique in that it sits on the footing of a home's foundation which keeps the WaterGuard from getting clogged up with dirt and mud. Damage such as the damage pictured can ocurr if foundation problems are ignored for too long. If you see that your basement walls are beginning to crack it is imperative that a foundation specialist diagnose the extent of the damage.

We did an outside excavation to open up the space we needed to pull the basement wall back. ALL parts of our wall anchoring system are galvanized. Notice the "red" I-Beam and the scrapping too a lighter color looking like orange, showing the 8 inches we pull it back.
