Effingham, Illinois homeowner Sue had cracks in her basement. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Luke B. determined the problems and developed the plan for Sue.
Foreman Miguel and his crew installed the dual system, which included the Push Piers and the PowerBraces. The Push Piers go underground to lift the home. The PowerBraces go in the basement to provide extra support the beams need to keep floors and walls sturdy.
Sue can now trust her home will be safe for decades to come.
A basement wall was failing in Effingham, IL, causing cracks to form. To solve this issue, the PowerBrace System was installed. This system is designed to permanently stabilize a home’s foundation. It will support the basement walls and straighten them over time. It will distribute the load evenly and eliminate the worry of damage caused by commonly seen wood floor joists. This system can be tightened over time and doesn't require any invasive drilling or digging. PowerBrace’s brackets are engineered to provide strong support to the joints and protect the floor system's durability. This wall will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
A foundation was becoming unstable in Windsor, IL, so the PowerBrace System was installed. This will permanently stabilize the foundation and eliminate any inward movement. This will also reverse the effects of wall failure, straightening the walls to their original position and closing the cracks to prevent water leakage. This foundation will now remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
Sinking foundations are a homeowner’s nightmare. If the problem is not fixed soon then it can get worse, fast. That’s why Dan and Verma S called Woods Basements Systems. System Design Specialist Brandon B was able to come up with a plan for them.
Foreman Joshua B installed a SmartJack under the sinking portion of the house. A SmartJack is a device that will take the weight of the house and prevent it from sinking any further.
Kathy P. of Flora, Illinois noticed that a few walls in her home's basement were cracking and bowing. She did not want the problem to get worse, so she called Woods Basement Systems for help.
Design specialist Jacob K. assessed the situation and decided that the perfect solution was to install wall anchors. Foreman Jeremy R. then traveled to the home to get the job started. The steel wall anchors, pictured above, extend from the inside walls of the home to the hard packed soil outside. These anchors help prevent further movement and stabilize the walls.
Kathy P. no longer has to worry about the walls in her home cracking and bowing. She now has stable and safe basement walls.
