Flora, Illinois homeowner Stephen noticed his basement walls were bowing and causing his basement to be wet. He gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Luke K. developed a plan for Stephen. 

One part of the plan, was to install Geo-Lock Wall Anchors. Foreman Miguel O. and his crew installed the Geo-Lock Wall Anchors, which go behind the active soil line to provide the resistance the wall needs to fight the pressure of the soil around it. 

Geo-Lock Wall Anchors can straighten walls over time. During the process, the cracks are closed and other problems can be avoided.

A foundation was bowing inward in Flora, IL, causing cracks to appear and leak water. To solve these issues, the CleanSpace Basement Wall System was first installed. This will prevent water vapor from permeating the basement walls. The white color will also brighten the basement, reflecting the light. Any wall leaks will also be drained down to the perimeter drainage system. Next, GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed. These will permanently stabilize the wall, straightening it to its original position and keeping it in place. The cracks will also be closed so that no water can leak through. Thanks to these systems, this basement will remain dry and stable for years to come!

Foreman Jose L installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor, shown above, in Kelly’s basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to the basement walls. The device can be tightened and overtime will be able to straighten the walls.

Team Woods installed Geo-Lock Wall Anchors to brace the damaged wall. Geo-Lock uses a galvanized steel rod and heavy-duty steel plates to reinforce and even straighten bending walls with minimal disruption to the home or yard.

Melanie R. of Monticello, IL had foundation walls that had become severely damaged over the years. There were large cracks on the foundation walls and ledge walls along them which made Melanie worried about the safety of her home so she called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.

Woods drove galvanized steel anchor rods through the cracked ledge walls and connected them to steel earth anchors that were embedded in stable soil conditions in the yard. They attached the anchor rods to steel anchor plates on the inside of the wall to hold the walls firmly in place. Geo-Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize walls in place, preventing future damage.
