The cement block foundation walls of Jolene B.’s De Soto, MO were bulging and tilting inward. Stair step and horizontal cracks had formed along the seams of the blocks and were allowing water to get in so Jolene called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors along with a waterproofing system.
Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed along the cracked, bulging walls. They counteract the external soil pressure that damages walls. Galvanized steel anchor rods are driven through the walls and connected to steel earth anchors embedded in stable soil conditions in the yard. Steel wall plates are attached on the inside of the foundation walls and tightened into place. They permanently stabilize walls and can even straighten walls over time by tightening the anchors during dry periods.
A corner of a building was settling in De Soto, MO, causing concern. To solve this issue, the Push Pier System was installed. These will permanently stabilize the foundation, and in many cases, lift it back toward its original position. These can also close cracks and improve the operation of windows and doors. This is the least risky solution when the soil conditions are unknown. There is minimal disturbance from installation; installing them is a quick process and will solve the problem once and for all!
A homeowner from Byrnes Mill, Missouri wanted need to find a quick and permanent solution to fix her sinking foundation, so she reached out to Woods Basement Systems. System design specialist, Jeremy G., worked with Connie to find a solution to prevent her home from sinking any further. Jeremy gave the recommendation of installing push piers into the footing of the foundation to lock and lift the foundation back into its original place.
Several push piers were installed by foreman, Miguel O., and his crew. Push piers are made out of durable galvanized steel and are drilled below the foundation to lift it into place. These piers take the pressure off of the home and the soil that supports the house and places the burden onto the piers.
Cracks started appearing in a basement in House Springs, MO, which suggested that there were issues with the foundation. To resolve this issue, Woods installed the GeoLock Wall System to stabilize the walls. Heavy-duty steel anchors were placed in the ground away from the house. Those anchors were connected directly to the house with galvanized steel rods to steel plates that were installed directly into the wall. Thanks to Woods, this home will remain stable for years to come.
A floor was sinking in an extended room in Hillsboro, MO, causing concern for its stability. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. These will raise the floor above to its original position, and keep it in place. This floor will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
