When homeowner Glenn G. discovered his basement walls were bowing inward, he gave Woods Basement System a call.

Our system design specialist went over to do an inspection and created a design that would create stability for the basement walls. Foreman, Jeremy R. did a Geo-lock Wall Anchor installation. What this system does is permanently stabilize homes while also making the basement walls straight. No heavy equipment is involved with this installation which makes this the most simple and quickest solution for bowing walls.

Joan B was concerned when she noticed that her basement walls were beginning to bow. So, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Thomas W was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Bradly P installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor in Joan’s basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to a stable level of soil away from the house, and the other will attach to the basement walls. The device can be tightened and overtime will straighten the walls.

A foundation wall was cracking in a basement in Ballwin, MO, causing concern for the homeowners. To solve this issue, GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. These can be installed around obstacles on the wall such as pipes, sinks, or furniture. This is the best solution to straighten the wall over time, as it can fix severe problems and stabilize the foundation for good!

A basement foundation was becoming unstable in Ellisville, MO, as a large crack was forming. To solve this issue, the PowerBrace System was installed. These I-beams work by stabilizing the walls in the basement by custom fitting to the wall. They are tightened to the wall through anchors on the basement floor and floor joists. This joist reinforcement method evenly distributes the load and straightens the wall over time.  It is also a great non-invasive option since there is no drilling or digging on the property. This foundation will now remain stable and secure for years to come!

Sylvia and Terry S. had floors that were sagging above their basement. There were also large cracks forming between their walls and ceilings in the rooms above the basements. The had a metal post connected to their beam but it was not doing much to stabilize their floors so they called Woods Basement Systems.  Woods recommended installing post piers.

Post piers were installed to lift and stabilize the floors above the basement and close up the cracks between the walls and ceiling. Post Piers are steel columns that provide addition support to the floor beam above. They are adjustable so they can continue to keep the load bearing floor beam secure.
