Saint Louis homeowner Phyllis noticed her basement walls could use a little more support. She gave Woods Basement Systems a call and System Design Specialist Jeremy developed a plan.
Foreman Greg and his crew installed PowerBraces for her. They PowerBraces are steel I-Beams that are anchored on the joist and the floor. They will be tightened overtime to straighten the walls.
Phyllis can now redecorate her basement and know it will be safe for decades to come.
A basement wall was continuing to crack after being previously sealed in Saint Louis, MO, so GeoLock Wall Anchors were installed. These are galvanized steel earth anchors embedded into the soil out and away from the foundation wall. Once installed, these will hold the walls in their current position and can be tightened to allow for improvement and straightening of the wall over time. These can be installed around obstacles on the wall such as pipes, sinks, or furniture. This is the best solution to straighten the wall over time, as it can fix severe problems and stabilize the foundation for good!
Sandy and Lester J were concerned when they noticed that the floors in their home were starting to sink. So they decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Chris S was able to come up with a solution to the problem.
Foreman Jose L installed a Push Pier in their basement. The push pier, shown above, will support the level of the floor that is sinking, and over time will be able to raise it back up to its original height. This will help to stabilize the floors.
A foundation was settling in Richmond Heights, MO, causing cracks to form on the outside of the house. To solve this issue, the Push Pier System was installed. These will permanently stabilize the foundation, and in many cases, lift it back toward its original position. These can also close cracks and improve the operation of windows and doors. This is the least risky solution when the soil conditions are unknown. There is minimal disturbance from installation; installing them is a quick process and will solve the problem once and for all!
The ceiling boards of a crawlspace in Saint Louis, MO were failing, causing the floors in the house to sink. To solve this issue, the SmartJack System was installed. This will stabilize the beams and floor joists in the crawlspace and lift the floor above it back toward its original elevation. Floor bounce caused by weakened joists or excessive spans will also be reduced. This crawlspace will remain stable and restore peace of mind for years to come!
