History of Woods Basement Systems . . .

In 1986 Rick Woods with a partner started a waterproofing company called Basement DeWatering Systems Metro-East, Inc. In 1988 Rick bought out his partner and the name was changed to Woods Waterproofing, Inc. The company name was then changed to Woods Basement Systems, Inc. in 1998 for advertising reasons. Our Federal Tax ID number has never changed so we have always maintained our corporate idenity and all contractual warranties. There are over 240+ Basement Systems dealers in seven countries. Rick’s wife Anna Lee, son Wayne, daughter-in-law Susanne, daughter Susan, son-in-law Tim, and cousin Chris Blickenstaff are all management level employees of Woods Basement Systems, with his grandkids, Alli (9 years), Drew (7 years), Nick (6 years), Jack (4 years), twins Sophie & Lily (3 years) and baby Rachel (2 years) being the “real” bosses. As you can see, this is a family business. Today, we are one of the largest basement waterproofing, basement wall straightening, and foundation piering contractors in Illinois and Missouri . In 2005 we became the world’s largest Basement Systems dealer – topping those 240+ dealers in seven countries!

What we pride ourselves most on is our wide variety of systems to solve any problem. Our systems include: WaterGuard, DryTrak, Drain Tile, CleanSpace, TripleSafe Sump Pumps with Battery Back-ups, Crack Repairs, Exterior Work, New Construction, Basement Air Quality Products and more. We use Grip-Tite Wall Anchors for basement wall straightening and Grip-Tite piers for lifting and stabilizing settling foundations. Furthermore, we don’t use high-pressure sales techniques and we won’t try to sell you something you don’t need. Of course, all of our work comes with a warranty.

In addition to the thousands of private homes we have waterproofed, anchored or piered, we have completed many commercial projects including schools, churches, condos, restaurants, apartment complexes, water treatment plants, universities, hospitals, and professional buildings.

Presently, our company operates from five locations. Our main administrative office is at our 16,000 square foot facility at 524 Vandalia Street , Collinsville , IL . There, our professional staff of support personnel and sales representatives are available to serve you. Our installation teams, meanwhile, operate on a 20 acre property at the western edge of town. On this site, our new facility will be built in 2006 - 2007. Our third location in Collinsville , IL is our marketing office at 524 St. Louis Road . Additionally we have two smaller satellite offices in St. Charles , MO and Bloomington , IL .
