Tilting and cracking in foundation walls can drive down a home’s value and scare off potential buyers. Dan Casey knew this so when he was representing a Ballwin, MO property that had cracking, tilting foundation walls that were also damaging the finished walls over them, he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.

Along the foundation walls, galvanized steel anchor rods were driven through the walls and connected to earth anchors embedded in stable soil in the yard and to steel wall plates on the inside of the walls. They permanently stabilize the walls in place, restoring value to the home. They can also straighten walls over time by tightening the anchors during dry conditions.

Wesley C., Manchester, Missouri homeowner, was distraught when he discovered water leaking into his basement where the floor meets the wall. The water created a musty, moldy environment and risked damaging his valuables. Chris H., system design specialist, designed a solution to ensure the basement stays dry.

When homeowner Glenn G. discovered his basement walls were bowing inward, he gave Woods Basement System a call.

Our system design specialist went over to do an inspection and created a design that would create stability for the basement walls. Foreman, Jeremy R. did a Geo-lock Wall Anchor installation. What this system does is permanently stabilize homes while also making the basement walls straight. No heavy equipment is involved with this installation which makes this the most simple and quickest solution for bowing walls.

Joan B was concerned when she noticed that her basement walls were beginning to bow. So, she decided to call Woods Basement Systems. System Design Specialist Thomas W was able to come up with a solution to the problem.

Foreman Bradly P installed a Geo-Lock Wall Anchor in Joan’s basement. The Wall Anchor has two ends, one will attach to a stable level of soil away from the house, and the other will attach to the basement walls. The device can be tightened and overtime will straighten the walls.

James M. of Ballwin, Missouri noticed that certain slabs of his home's driveway were sinking. He did not want it to become a tripping hazard or get any worse, so he called Woods Basement Systems for assistance.

Design specialist Ryan K. assessed the situation and decided that the best option was to use PolyLevel. Foreman William T. then traveled to the home to get the job started. The PolyLevel, pictured above, was inserted below the concrete through a penny-sized hole. The foam material then expanded and lifted the concrete back to its original position.

James M. now has a level and safe concrete driveway. He no longer has to worry about concrete slabs sinking and becoming tripping concerns.
