A sidewalk in Saint Louis, MO, was sinking and had large cracks and gaps in the concrete. This needed to be addressed, so the homeowner decided to give Woods a call. To solve this issue, PolyLevel™ was used to level the concrete. This system works by drilling pea-sized holes into the concrete and injecting a polyurethane foam underneath. The foam then expands to lift and level the concrete. Next, NexusPro™ was used to fill in the gaps and cracks. This flexible sealant will withstand any harsh weather, as it is very durable. With these systems in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their concrete is in great shape! 

A basement in Maryland Heights, MO, was leaking during heavy rain and required a full waterproofing system to keep it dry all the time. To solve this issue, WaterGuard™ was used to collect the water that entered the basement and direct it to the nearest sump pump. This system has a horizontal design that sits on top of the soil, so no clogging will ever take place. Next, a sump pump was installed to discharge the water out of the basement. This sump pump has a battery back-up generator to ensure the pump keeps working, even during a power outage. With these systems in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their basement is in great shape!

Termites had damaged the main beam in the crawl space of Josh H.’s Pevely, MO home. The damage had rotted the beam which, in combination with haphazardly stacked brick columns, had caused the floors above to sag so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing SmartJacks along with an encapsulation system.

Woods installed the SmartJacks along the main beam. SmartJacks are galvanized, adjustable steel columns that are cut to the height of the crawl space. They are held in place by pre-cast concrete footings that sit on a bed of compressed stone which means the system won’t settle like masonry columns. They adjust to lift the floors above back to level position while providing adequate support for the main beam for years to come.
