A sidewalk was sinking in front of a house in Pevely, MO, causing the slabs to become uneven and a tripping hazard. To solve this issue, the PolyLevel System was installed. This will stabilize, lift, and level the concrete slabs with high-strength polyurethane foam. This is a unique approach to repairing sinking concrete.  After drilling small holes into the concrete, a polymer foam is injected into the concrete slab to stabilize the surface. This installation technique allows the foam to expand as it cures, precisely lifting the slabs back up. This will improve the safety of the sidewalk for years to come!
Lisa B. of Imperial, MO had a retaining wall between her yard and her neighbor’s property that was cracking and tilting. She was worried in might turn into an even bigger problem so she called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
Geo-Lock Wall Anchors were installed along the retaining wall, as shown in the picture, to counteract the pressure on the outside of the wall that was causing it to fail. They permanently stabilize the wall in place and can also straighten the wall, in most cases, by fighting the anchors during dry periods.
Joe R. of Imperial, Missouri was concerned about the vertical, expanding cracks in his foundation wall. He attempted to fill in the cracks with an epoxi-injection, but the wall continued to move. Woods Basement Systems installed the PowerBrace Wall Repair System in the customer's home and now the wall is permanently stabilized.
Walls can shift and bow over time. That’s why Steve T called Woods Basement Systems when he noticed his basement walls were bowing. System Design Specialist Jeremy R was able to come up with a solution to the problem.
Foreman Jeremy R installed a GeoLock Wall Anchor, shown above, in Steve’s basement. The first part of the system attaches to the wall and the second attaches to stable soil away from the house. This will pull the walls back to where they are supposed to be.
Arthur M. of Imperial, Missouri noticed that water was collecting in his home's basement after heavy rain showers. He did not want to have to clean up a mess every time it stormed, so he called Woods Basement Systems.
Design specialist Chris A. assessed the situation and decided that the best option was to install a Twin Pack sump pump and a Waterguard drainage system. Foreman Mason S. then headed to the home to get the job started.
The Waterguard drainage system, pictured above, was installed above the footing of the basement. It collects any water rising from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. The Waterguard the drains the water to the sump pump.
Arthur M. no longer has to worry about his home's basement holding water. He now has a dry and waterproof home.
