Support blocks were failing in a crawlspace in Festus, MO, and moisture was entering it as well. To solve these issues, the SmartJack System was first installed. These are steel support systems that can permanently stabilize and level the floor joists and girders in a crawlspace. These add strength and stability to the existing columns and piers. They are unaffected by moisture, as they will not rust, weaken, or be affected by mold. These will lift the floors above back toward their original position, and reduce floor “bounce” caused by excessive joist spans. 

Next, the CleanSpace Encapsulation System was installed. This prevents moisture by encapsulating the crawlspace with a vapor barrier, closing the vents, and conditioning the space to make a healthier environment. This crawlspace will now remain stable and dry for years to come thanks to these systems!

This system is a silicone-based sealant for cracks. It is specially engineered to stay flexible over time and stand up to harsh weather conditions. It has a very quick application and drying time and can last over 20 years. With these two installs in place, this driveway is practically as good as new!
