A sidewalk was unleveled in Saint Louis, MO, causing safety concerns for the homeowner that needed to be addressed. They decided to give Woods a call. To solve this issue, PolyLevel™ was used. By drilling small holes into the concrete and injecting polyurethane foam underneath, the foam expands and lifts the concrete slabs up and levels them out. Within hours, the foam will harden to become rock solid. Next, NexusPro™ was used to fill in the gaps in between concrete slabs. This flexible sealant will stand up against harsh weather conditions. With these systems in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their sidewalk is in great shape!

To solve this issue, WaterGuard™ was used to collect the water that entered the basement. This system sits on top of the soil to prevent clogging. Next, a sump pump was installed to discharge the water out of the basement. With these systems in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their basement is in great shape! 

The real culprit behind any foundation or slab settlement problem is the underlying soil.  For example, a void had developed beneathe this concrete sidewalk and porch slab in St. Louis, Missouri.  This was likely due to a downspout that used to dump water right beside the porch.  Over time, the water pooling beside the porch slab and sidewalk eroded the soil and created a void beneath them.

Woods Basement Systems injected PolyLEVEL under the sidewalk slab and porch to fill the void and raise the concrete sidewalk.  The crew was able to level the sidewalk, and they took care to seal the joints in the sidewalk as well.  The homeowners were able to walk on the newly-raised sidewalk instantly.

After Woods Basement Systems' foreman Juan H. installed WaterGuard and TwinPack, he installed IceGuard for added assurance. IceGuard provides an alternative exit in the event that the discharge lines become clogged or frozen.
