Susan and John T. of Sappinton, Missouri were frustrated with the water leaking into their basement. As part of their waterproofing system, a french drain system was installed outside their home.
Because their home sits slightly down hill, water easily flows toward their home. Greg H., Woods Basement Systems foreman, installed the french drain system. The french drain collects ground water and directs it away from the basement.
Bowing and cracking walls can be signs of soil pressure on the outside of the foundation and can lead to major problems if not addressed. Chris R. of St. Louis, MO was patching cracks in his walls but new ones kept forming so he called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended installing Geo-Lock Wall Anchors.
Geo-Lock Wall Anchors permanently stabilize walls and halt any further movement due to soil pressure. Earth anchors are embedded in the yard and attached to steel wall plates on the inside of the walls by galvanized steel anchor rods. The rods are tightened to keep the walls firmly in place and can straighten walls in most cases.
Chris R. has the peace of mind that his walls are safe from any future damage and are permanently stabilized.
Karen H. of Saint Louis, MO had a very wet crawl space. High humidity in the crawl space had caused metal beams to rust and threatened to rot the wood floor joists so Karen called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended a crawl space encapsulation system.
Woods installed the SaniDry dehumidifier as part of that encapsulation system. The SaniDry can remove 109 pints of water from crawl space air using the same amount of electricity as smaller household units. It keeps relative humidity low to prevent rot and rust as well as make conditions inhospitable for mold growth and pests.
Karen H., St. Louis, Missouri homeowner, was troubled by her wet, moldy crawl space. System Design Specialist Mike T. designed a solution to keep water and mold out of her crawl space.
Foreman Adam A. and his crew installed CleanSpace to encapsulate her crawl space. CleanSpace is an inorganic vapor barrier that prevents water from entering the the crawl space. In addition to CleanSpace, SaniDry was installed. SaniDry is an energy-efficient dehumidifier. Keeping the humidity low, keeps the mold away.
The crawl space of Karen H.’s Saint Louis, MO home leaked water every time there was a heavy downpour. The amount of water that repeatedly got into the crawlspace made it unusable for storage so Karen called Woods Basement Systems. Woods recommended a crawl space encapsulation system.
The SmartSump was installed as part of the encapsulation system. The SmartSump was designed specifically to form an airtight seal with the vapor barrier. It contains a powerful cast-iron pump to remove intruding water out of the crawl space through its discharge line. Its lid also features a WaterWatch alarm system to alert the homeowners to possible plumbing leaks in the crawl space.
