Crawl Space Repair Before & After Photos

Cassandra L is having some problems in her home that are originating from the crawlspace. The floors are sloping, which is caused by the support beams in the crawlspace failing. There is also water and a musty smell in the crawlspace.

James L and his crew installed a CleanSpace Liner in the crawlspace. This will separate the space from the earth, and prevent water vapor from entering, keeping the space clean and dry. SmartJacks were also installed, to support the crawlspace and to fix the sloping floors in the house. Cassandra can now relax knowing that her crawlspace is clean, dry, and stable!

As part of the waterproofing system, CleanSpace Vapor Barrier was installed. CleanSpace is a durable, thick plastic liner that prevents water from entering the basement through the walls and guides the unwanted water down to the drainage system. It give the basement a cleaner and brighter look.

Foreman James L. and his crew were able to install Vent Covers, CleanSpace with drainage matting, Rim Joist Spray Foam, and a SmartPump sump pump. At the core of this system, the CleanSpace with drainage matting is an inorganic, anti-microbial vapor barrier. It is designed to redirect water vapor from the dirt and that comes through the porous walls to the sump pump. It also will fight mold by cutting of the food source for the spores. 

With the whole system, Michael now has two crawl spaces that he can use for storage and that have cleaner air to increase the air quality of his whole home.

The Rim Joist Spray Foam is a game changer in air quality. The Rim Joist is a joint at the top of the wall that connects the floors above to the foundation walls. This is usually wood and can be damaged overtime by bugs, water, and mold. Gaps then form allowing for air and moisture transfer. By using spray foam, we can get into the gaps and cracks for a superior coverage and barrier.
