This century-old McLeansboro, Illinois home's basement was plagued with water leaks. The space would flood during heavy periods of rain, requiring regular, extensive cleanup. In order to waterproof the basement, a Woods Basement Systems team first installed an under-floor WaterGuard drainage system at the base of the leaking walls to catch any and all water. After this, a TripleSafe sump pump, equipped with three separate pumps and capable of removing over 10,000 gallons of water per hour, was put in place.
This basement had years worth of water leaks that affected the walls and floor. Team Woods installed WaterGuard drains around the perimeter of the basement to collect the water leaks before they could enter into the basement and create water damage. This waterproofing project started with no protection and ended with a safe and dry room.

Germantown, Illinois homeowner Marvin was worried about water in his basement. He gave Woods Basement Systems a call. System Design Specialist Sam W. determined the perfect solution for Marvin was the WaterGuard system.
Foreman Jose L. and his crew installed the Waterguard system for Marvin. A partial WaterGuard on the problem walls was the perfect solution because unlike other drainage systems, WaterGuard will never clog. It is specially designed with holes in the back to receive water from beneath, behind, and down the walls as it leaks through the gaps made when the foundation is originally poured.
WaterGuard collects the water and redirects it to the sump pump, where it is pumped away from the home, ending the cycle.
With a partial WaterGuard, we can come back anytime and install the remaining perimeter, if needed.
Marvin can now rest assured his family's belongings are safe an dry in his basement.

Mold, soaked carpet, and mushy drywall are just some of the problems associated with a leaky finished basement. This Oran, Missouri homeowner was experiencing these exact problems, and he was eager to stop the damage before it got any more costly. A Woods Basement Systems team, after ripping out the drywall and carpet, installed WaterGuard drains underneath the floor at the base of the leaking walls to catch leaks and prevent them from making it onto the floor.
