Sump pumps are the backbone of any basement waterproofing system. It doesn't matter how efficient other measures are; if the sump pump can't keep up, then water will be an issue. This was the case for a South County homeowner. Although he had a sump pump, it simply was not doing the job. Needing quick, quality work done, he came to Woods Basement Systems. A Woods team replaced his old sump pump with a brand new TripleSafe sump system. The TripleSafe comes equipped with three individually operating pumps and is capable of pumping away well over 10,000 gallons of water per hour at an 8 foot head. Needless to say, this homeowner won't have any more issues with flooding!
A sump pump in Saint Louis, MO was malfunctioning and was in need of replacement. So a TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed. This system assures protection from common problems that can occur with an ordinary pump. It can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a second pump that will help eliminate the water if the first pump can't keep up. This system also includes an UltraSump battery backup system which turns on if the power goes out and effectively pumps out the water. It also features a removable airtight lid which reduces noise, prevents objects from falling in, and keeps moisture, insects, and odor from coming out of the sump.
Sappington, Missouri resident Doris H. was troubled by water leaking into her basement through her cracked wall. The water caused damage and led to mold growth.
Juan H., Woods Basement Systems' Foreman, installed WaterGuard and the TwinPack sump pump system to keep the basement dry. WaterGuard is a perimeter drainage system that collects and guides water to the TwinPack and away from the basement.
Doris is thrilled to have a dry basement that is free of mold.
Susan and John T. of Sappinton, Missouri were frustrated with the water leaking into their basement. As part of their waterproofing system, a french drain system was installed outside their home.
Because their home sits slightly down hill, water easily flows toward their home. Greg H., Woods Basement Systems foreman, installed the french drain system. The french drain collects ground water and directs it away from the basement.
Curtis C. of Sunset Hills, Missouri discovered that his home's basement was collecting water. He did not want to have to clean up a mess after every storm, so he called Woods Basement Systems for help.
Design specialist Jacob K. assessed the situation and decided that the best solution would be to install a Waterguard drainage system and a Twin Pack sump pump. Foreman Melvin F. then headed to the home to get the project started.
The Waterguard drainage system, pictured above, was placed above the footing of the basement and was then covered with concrete. It collects water coming up from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. It then drains it to the sump pump.
Curtis C. is happy that he no longer has to worry about a flooded basement. He now has a dry and waterproof home.
