This Alton, Illinois basement had experienced water seeping through the wall's cracks after heavy rains and desperately needed a permanent solution. Woods Basement Systems was able to restore the basement by installing a TwinPack sump pump, a CleanSpace encapsulation system, and a WaterGuard draining system. Now, this basement is safe and clean!
Micah of Alton, Illinois experienced cracking in the walls of her basement. Concerned, she decided to give Woods Basement Systems for a solution. Systems design specialist, Brenton K., recommended installing a PowerBrace to the troubled wall to bring the wall back to stability.
Foreman, Jeremy R. and his team installed the PowerBrace. The PowerBrace helps bring the wall into a permantely stable position so that the wall will not move out of place again. This brace is made out of a zinc steel beams that will be customizable to fit any size needed.
Micah can now have peace of mind that her home will be stable for years to come!
WaterGuard drains were installed in this Granite City, Illinois basement to keep pesky water leaks out. This french drainage system is installed in the footing of the basement walls to collect and direct water leaks to move them towards the sump pump. From there the sump pump will pump the water leaks back outside where they belong. This album will show the condition of the basement before and after the new French drainage system was installed.
BEFORE: Water seeped in through the wall/floor seam, pooling in this Granite City, Illinois basement.
AFTER: Woods Basement Systems installed a uniquely designed and patented drainage system that brings water to the sump pump and pumps it out and away from the home.
This home in Granite City, IL had a sump pump system with two pipes to allow water to be pumped out of their home and away from their foundation.
To accomodate the water flow - and to keep it from just sinking back toward the basement - Corey S. installed a buried drainage pipe that would carry water from the pump away from the house and to a suitable location.
First, Corey dug up trenches to allow room for the drain pipes. He also installed IceGuard™ on the drain pipes so that water will continue to flow from the sump pumps and out of the home in the event of a clogged or frozen pipe.
Finally, the whole discharge line was burried to hide it from view. Now this home will be able to drain water away - even in the winter - and with no unsightly pipes above the ground.
