Water was coming down basement walls in Belleville, IL, causing damage to them. To solve this issue, the BrightWall Paneling System was installed. This is an all-plastic, bright white, basement wall paneling that provides a clean look for an unfinished basement. It prevents water vapor from seeping into the basement and drains any wall leaks down to the WaterGuard System, which was also installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. This system has a design that will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. Thanks to these systems, this basement will stay dry all the time!
A basement in Belleville, IL, was leaking and needed to be addressed. This was causing distress to the homeowner, so they decided to give Woods a call. To solve this issue, WaterGuard™ was used to collect the water that entered the basement. This system sits horizontally on top of the soil to prevent clogging. Next, a sump pump was installed to discharge the water out of the basement. This sump pump has a battery back-up generator to ensure the pump keeps working, even during a power outage. Finally, IceGuard™ was used to make sure the pipes do not freeze or get blocked by snow during the colder winter months. With these systems in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their basement will remain dry during heavy rain.
Mold and rot had grown on the inside of the walls of the basement in Connie H.'s Swansea home. Water was leaking in whenever it rained and was causing more and more damage each time so Connie called Woods Basement Systems for a free, no obligation estimate. Woods recommended installing a waterproofing system.
As shown in the pictures, a Twin Pack Sump System was installed. The Twin Pack consists of two powerful, cast-iron pumps that sit at different levels within the sump liner. If the primary pump is unable to keep up with the amount of water coming in, the secondary pump will work with the primary pump to ensure all of the unwanted water is being pumped out and away from the basement.
Joan D. of Swansea, Illinois noticed that water was collecting her home's basement after heavy rain storms. She did not want to have to keep cleaning up a mess every time it stormed, so she called Woods Basement Systems for help.
Design specialist Luke K. assessed the situation and decided the best solution was to install a Waterguard drainage system and a Twin Pack sump pump. Foreman Brett J. then headed to the home to start the job.
The Twin Pack sump pump, pictured above, removes water from the home through a discharge line. This particular sump pump is equipped with both a primary and secondary pump. If the primary pump goes out for whatever reason, the secondary pump takes over and keeps the basement dry.
Joan D. no longer has to worry about her home's basement flooding. She now has a waterproof and dry basement.
