A basement in Belleville, IL, was leaking during heavy rain. This needed to be addressed, so the homeowner decided to give Woods a call. To solve this issue, CleanSpace™ was used to keep the humidity out of the basement. This durable liner will also keep other outside elements out as well. Next, WaterGuard™ was installed to collect the water that entered the basement. This system sits horizontally on top of the soil to ensure no clogging takes place. Finally, a sump pump was installed to discharge the water out of the basement. This sump pump has a battery back-up generator to ensure it keeps working, even during a power outage. With these systems in place, the homeowner can rest easy knowing their basement will remain dry for years to come!
Carla D. of Belleville, Illinois had water leaking into her basement, so she decided to call Woods Basement Systems for help. Systems design specialist, Chris T. recommended installing a TripleSafe sump pump, and a WaterGuard system.
Foreman, Tyler S. installed the products. The TripleSafe pump uses a three-in-one design to fully protect your home and it includes a primary pump, a secondary pump, and a battery-powered backup pump. WAterGuard is installed in the floor around the perimeter of the basement. It works to collect water that seeps through the basement walls and then guides it to the sump pump to be removed from the home.
Now Carla D. has a dry, watertight basement.
Water marks coming down from the wood sill plate is an outside drainage issue and needs to be repaired from the outside. Digging a trench and installing drain tile below the sill plate directs water to a low spot downhill from the sill plate. Water can no longer rise up and come in over the sill plate into the basement.
This Belleville, Illinois sump pump was outdated and in need of replacing. Woods Basement Systems installed a new sump pump as well as a WaterGuard system. WaterGuard is unique in that it sets on top of the footing of a home's foundation which prevents it from getting clogged with dirt. (please note that the concrete in the after picture hadn't had time to cure prior to the taking of the picture).
WaterGuard drains are installed in the perimeter of the basement to collect and direct water leaks towards the home's sump pump system. This drainage system ensures that if water finds its way inside, it will be directed back outside.
