A basement in Collinsville, IL, was leaking during heavy rain and needed to be addressed. This was causing distress to the homeowner, so they decided to give Woods a call. To solve this issue, WaterGuard™ was used to collect the water that entered the basement. This system sits on top of the soil to prevent any clogging from occurring. Next, a sump pump was installed to discharge the collected water out of the basement. This sump pump has a battery back-up generator to ensure it keeps working, even during a power outage. With these systems in place, the homeowner can have peace of mind that their basement will remain dry for years to come!

The Twin Pack sump pump, pictured above, is equipped with a primary and secondary pump. If the primary pump goes out for whatever reason, the secondary pump kicks in and get the job done. The sump pump removes water from the basement through a discharge line.

The WaterGuard drainage system, pictured above, was installed above the footing of the basement. After its installation, the system is covered with concrete. It collects any water rising from the ground before it reaches the surface of the basement. The WaterGuard then drains the water to the sump pump.
