Basement Waterproofing Before & After Photos

Water was entering a basement in Marion, IL, and the sump pump was not removing this water correctly. To solve these issues, the WaterGuard System was first installed. These drainage pipes intercept water at the perimeter of the basement and drain it toward the sump pump system. This system has a design that will drain any wall seepage without allowing dirt and debris from the floor to enter and clog the pipes. Next, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System was installed. This system assures protection from everyday problems with an ordinary pump. It can handle a heavy flow of water, thanks to a secondary pump included inside that will help eliminate the water if the first pump is unable to keep up with the amount of water that is entering it. It also features a removable airtight lid which reduces noise, prevents objects from falling in, and keeps moisture, insects, and odor from coming out of the sump. As part of the system, Woods installed WaterGuard. WaterGuard is a drainage system that is installed under the concrete floors along the perimeter of the basement, as shown in the pictures. It’s situated away from any mud that may clog it as it collects water from the foundation walls and floors and drains it away to the sump pump for removal.

This basement had years worth of water leaks that affected the walls and floor. Team Woods installed WaterGuard drains around the perimeter of the basement to collect the water leaks before they could enter into the basement and create water damage. This waterproofing project started with no protection and ended with a safe and dry room. 

Eric from Marion, Illinois reached out to Woods Basement Systems to find a solution to keep water leaks out of his basement. Team Woods sent system design specialist, JD M., to the home to evaluate the space and conclude what products would help protect Eric's home from water damage. After looking over the home, JD gave the recommendation of installing a drainage system and a sump pump to keep the house safe and dry.

Foreman, Juan H., lead his team of installers to install the new WaterGuard drainage system into the basement floors. These drains will collect and direct pesky water leaks towards the sump pump. Since the home didn't have a sump pump, a TripleSafe sump pump system was installed to discard of the water leaks. This pump is composed of three pumps that will serve as a dependable system all year round. Thanks to Woods' top waterproofing products, this basement is protected from harmful leaks!

Tina and Todd K. of Marion, Illinois experienced a moldy, musty basement when water made its way in where the floor meets the wall. Paul B., system design specialist, designed a solution to keep the basement dry.

Foreman Melvin F. installed CleanSpace, a vapor barrier, to prevent water from escaping into the air and causing mold. CleanSpace guides water to WaterGuard which guides the water to the TwinPack sump pump system.

With this solution, Tina and Todd's basement will stay dry and free of mold and odor.
